The Scared Guy COVID response is that all profits from every cool Scared Guy product sold on this site will go to COVID-19 assistance programs. Profits will be donated to making protective gear for healthcare workers, and helping people hard hit by the virus.
Back in the late 80s/early 90s, Scared Guy was born when LA artist Katie (Freedman) Davis
drew him for a child to help him overcome his fears. Scared Guy
soon became a smash hit and was licensed on a huge array of merchandise and clothing in the US and Asia. Scared Guy appeared in a People Magazine article (written by Janice Min), on MTV’s Real World, the movie Camp Nowhere,
on Golden Grahams cereal boxes, and in a series of Carl’s Jr. giveaways.
Scared Guy’s job is to be really scared, all the time, so we don’t have to be. He took a 25-year break, but now, as a Scared Guy Covid response, Katie thought about how Scared Guy helped people before and thought,
"I know! I'll sell all that Scared Guy merchandise I've been storing for years
(which is now vintage 90s and mint-condition) and give the profits away!” So she set up this site, and all profits
will go to the COVID-19 Assistance Program and MakeHaven.org to help
our healthcare workers and others affected by this virus. The more you buy, the more people will benefit.
P.S. Some items are not-quite-mint condition. You know when things are in storage for a million years or since the 90s they can get stained even when they're new? Or they'll get a little bit of a mildew scent that can easily be washed out?
That's the great thing about vintage, amiright?!
No matter what you get, there will be no refunds and no returns because this is all non-profit.
